Photos from Death Valley

A small set of photos from a trip to Death Valley National Park ... drove up there right after MIX '09 in Las Vegas.

These pictures are from a short couple day visit to Death Valley National Park earlier in the year (working through my photos back log).

There was an interesting mix of weather - no rain - but some cloudy and windy weather along with some sunbreaks, but the wind was powerful enough to kick up quite a bit of a sand storm, which was interesting to see, but an interesting challenge to try and photograph.

I think I managed to get a handful of good pictures of the sand dunes and the salt fields, including a 360 degree panorama.

Really nice photos. I usually don't take photos without subjects (to give perspective) but these are very nice.

Nice pictures. Did you snap those pictures ? If so, you are good at snapping nature photos. I really like them and for some reason, I feel loneliness from those pictures. As if they were the end of the world and both happiness and sadness mixed up there.

Do you have bigger ones ? I would like to download and make one of them my background if they are not copyrighted of course :)

Thanks.

@Aaron -
Yes, I did take them... photography is a hobby. Feel free to contact me offline using the Contact form on my site about the larger prints.

Its very interesting that you saw the loneliness emotion emerge from the pictures. I never thought of it that way, but now that you mention it, that does seem fitting for a place called Death Valley.

Excellent photography. My best one is DeathValley2009/17/2. I like the background and colors inside it.

Interesting. View from Hell's Gate pictures look like way to heaven.
